Readymade Garments


Our training establishment in DHOSHA HAT provided training to 150 poor unemployed women during the last year in tailoring and readymade garment making. Our trainees have started earning taking order from households, shops, and markets. Some of them have taken our micro credit loan to purchase the Sewing machine and other implements. The aggregate number of trainees is more then 500.



Food Processing


25 members of our self help group were deputed to the training centre of Ramakrishna Mission at Nimpith for attending training in making Jam, Jelly and Pickles. The training was highly beneficial for them and they started manufacturing these items by taking loans from DCBS. Our self help group members are also helping them in marketing their products.


Smokeless Cook Stove Workshop


In the rural areas the women use cow-dung cake and wood as fuel which creates environmental pollution and disease of Eye and lungs due to release of carbon particles. In order to protect them from this pollution DCBS arranged to distribute Cook Stove at a concessional rate in collaboration with BIOLITE. The total number of cook stove distributed during the year was 250.


Bal Chetana Shibir & Class of Art of Living


As a part of our attachment with “Art of Living” and under the influence of “Sri Sri Ravi Sankar” a Bal Chetana & Naba Chetana Shibir (Workshop for Creation of conciseness) of soul, stress free mind and health for the children. The teachers of art of living talked about the subject and also gave physical demonstration. The Program was so successful that the end of the session the participants appeared to be changed persons.

Art of Living also conducted their class at Raiganj in North Dinajpur District. The class was attended by the staff and some other local persons. The presentation was so heartrending that the participants came to burst into tears and was highly impressed.
